Rooftop JOY sign brings real joy.

I just want to share my story for others to read. As you know, you both have a large lighted “JOY” sign on top of your house that is lit at ALL times – not just at Christmas, but ALL year long!!!.
I travel past your house on my way to work every day and your JOY sign blesses me every time … I look forward to seeing it. In fact, I often sing out loud that I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart! I liked the JOY sign so much, I wanted one for my house.
One winter day I was traveling very slow due to a heavy snow fall and when I past your house God said turn around and go back. Well, I traveled a little further thinking that wasn’t God and went approximately one mile further and God said again, turn around and go back.
Mind you, I had no idea why, but I obeyed and when I made the turn onto your road, Bill was backing out of the driveway. We both rolled down our windows and had a short conversation because Bill was on his way to an appointment. I explained my interest in his sign and to share how much it blesses me every day.
To make a long story short, via emails Bill put me in touch with the designer and maker of the sign (Rev. Tom Cubberly) and I now have my own “JOY” sign on the roof of my garage!!!
I am hoping that it provides the same blessing to others when they pass my house. God is so good and so willing to bless us … if we listen.
Bill and Kathy … thank you for keeping the JOY sign on at all times. There are many days that I am drained on my way home from work and it is such a wonderful reminder to me that God wants us to be a joyful people.
Oh … one more thing … I often honk three times when I go by so Bill and Kathy know how much I appreciate their sign … and to let them know I am praying for them.

EDITOR’S FOOTNOTE: We have had others who stop by and/or call to offer a positive comment on the effect our JOY sign is having on them. I will have to post them here soon.
Meanwhile, a HUGE thanks to Rev. Tom Cubberly for not only custom designing and constructing our JOY sign, but also giving it to our ministy and family as a gift!!! What a major blessing it has been – many times, in many ways.
Our house is very close to a T-shape corner on a highly traveled main road right in the middle of 20,000 acres of the Waterloo State Recreation Area. Therefore we get many tourist seeing the JOY sign besides all our local traffic and neighbors.
Also because of our corner location we get many cars stopping asking us for directions. So many stop that I keep a stack of Waterloo Recreation Area maps on hand to pass out. Each person stopping has to see the JOY sign and at times we get to “tell them about WHY it is there”. Needless to say, the JOY sign has become a powerful ministry tool.
Do you see how one man’s love and giving is now multiplying? Go God!!!! And again, a big “thank you” to Rev. Tom and Yvonne Rogers. – Bill Latocki_
